It’s always mesmerizing to visit places with snow. India has some of the best hill stations worldwide, from Kashmir to Tawang, and from Aravalli to the Himalayan ranges. Although most of the northern states are covered with snow during January. Hill stations are the perfect destination to visit during winter whether you want to visit with your family or friends. So, here is a list of the top places you should visit during this winter season.

1. Kashmir

Kashmir, also known as the heaven of the earth, is one of the top places you should visit in India if you want to enjoy the snow. The temperature there can drop to minus degrees. The Srinagar valley in Kashmir is surrounded by beautiful mountains and the Dal lake in Srinagar usually gets frozen during the extreme cold season. 2. Almora, Uttrakhand

Almora, Uttar Pradesh is not that popular among tourists but its beauty is unmatchable. The Himalayan ranges found here are worth seeing. The average temperature here is around 7 degrees Celsius. Nanda Devi Temple is one of the popular tourist attractions here. You can also try various adventurous activities here which include Hiking and skiing. The best time to visit is usually from August to November and especially November to January if you want to witness the mesmerizing snowfall. You should also try their unique Dubuk cuisine.

3. Manali

The snowfall in Manali is quite famous all over India and most of the credit goes to YJHD for this. Naggar Castle, Rohtang Pass, and  Old Manali. 4. Dalhousie

5. Tawang

Tawang is found in northeast India although famous for its monasteries. The Average Temperature there is about 0 degrees Celsius. You can visit Gaden Namchoe, various monasteries, Lhabab Duechen and Tawang War Memorial. 8. Auli
